According to the Catalan Waste Agency, each person in Catalonia generates an average of 35 kg of food waste per year. Of this, 58% occurs in households, 16% in supermarkets, 12% in bars and restaurants, 9% in retail stores, 4% in institutional catering and food services, and only 1% in municipal markets. This data served as the foundation for this project: the development of a magazine focused on food design, specifically addressing the issue of food waste.

Concept
YUCK is a magazine dedicated to food design, using food as a medium to discuss social and environmental issues, such as food waste. Just like design, food is a powerful form of communication through which we can express ideas and address pressing concerns. This magazine aims to shed light on what's happening in the food industry today.
